Default Need a fillet knife recommendation

All- I thought you guys could help me out. I need a recommendation for a good fillet knife for xmas. Fish all year long, catching everything from fluke, stripers, Tog and Sea Bass. Would prefer a knife that can handle all of the above, but if not possible a solid recommendation for a specific species would be great.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks.

Dexter 2333-9 is a great fluke knife and can be used for other species you mentioned but I would not consider it best knife overall for species you listed. Best all around knife I found is the Dexter 1378

As a deckhand on a party boat i personally prefer to use a 1378 for everything. However a brand new 1378 off the shelf is only good as a bait knife until it is worn down a bit. Its just too sharp and doesnt have the edge on it that im used to using. A 2333-9 is a great knife for flat fish and smaller species like seabass, ling, porgies. For the bigger fish like bass tho the 2333-9 just doesnt have the backbone in it to break thru rib bones and other things. As a safe bet get both and see for yourself which one u prefer for which. Also if not used everyday make sure to rinse and then wipe down with oil so they dont rust as they are high carbon steel and will rust if not oiled.

Love my Kershaws. Rubber handle is a plus with wet hands. Have several fillet knives in different lengths. Hold an edge well.

Dexter 2333-9 is my goto! I heat tempered mine so it doesn't rust. Just heat it up with a torch and dip it in used motor oil. Works great.
