Sat & Sun Striper reports - 53' Jersey Nutz
On Saturday we had the Ken Dolbow charter on board for a great day of fishing. Pushed of the dock around 6 a.m. and were on the fishing grounds by 6:30 greeted by a fleet of boats and more on their way. Took a shot at the snag n drop bite and landed a fish within 20 minutes or so. Took a look at the situation and decided to get on the troll which was the right move as we had a steady pick of Bass and Bluefish for the rest of the day. Fish came on both spoons and dredges but gradually moved down the water column throughout the day. Ended the day with 8 boxed bass and 5 more released. Plus all the bluefish you could want.
On Sunday we ran an open boat with 5 guys and got to the grounds just south of manasquan around 6:30 again. This time we immediately got the trolling spread out and again had steady action all day but with more bass than blues sunday. Ended the day with 8 bass boxed and a few more released. Had 8 year old Ryan on the boat with his father and he caught his first bass as well as his first keeper. Always great to have that happen! We have open Boats this Sunday 11/23 and on Black Friday 11/28. Give us a call if you are looking to get out. 609-354-2734
