Default Paramount Monday Marathon

Only one 24" striper at the dock this morning. Went out with a big crowd and had a slow pick of porgies and sea bass. We saw some good clouds of porgies on two pieces but they didn't bite very well. Most of the keepers we did catch were big, over 12" on porgies and 14" on sea bass. Pool was an honest 5lb sea bass.

I would up with 9 sea bass, a porgy and a ling. 8 of my sea bass were in the 1 1/2lb to 2 1/2lb range. Some guys had 6-8 mixed fish and some had less. Most had dinner but it wasn't a good bite. Fishing was good on Sat and Sunday so maybe it was just the day. I know the big porgies should be good the first three weeks in Nov.

Was out Sunday as well. I think the wind was a constant 25-30 all day, with the occasional rough wave coming in at well over 12' up in the bow. The fish were there, had to work real hard for them. Ended the day with 6 big porgies and I think 9 or 10 seabass, one hugh one and a cod which took the pool. Capt. worked hard to keep everyone over the fish. Both mates did a great job, always there when you needed them. I always have a great time on this boat. good peeps on both sides of me again.
