Default Tuna Report

Had the crew from Miss Belmar and the Royal Miss Belmar out for a trip on an NS out of Belmar. Left Monday afternoon. We went to the Hudson in some slop. NOAA wrong again. First fish around 1 AM large yellow. Picked some more fish through the night. About 4 AM the long fins showed up. Had a steady bight till we left at 10 AM nothing crazy but fish on most of the time. Ended up with 6 large yellows to 90 lbs. and 28 longs to 60 lbs. And a sword that went a bought 150 lbs. Great guys to fish with. Good to see them fish and have a good time. A good time was had by all.

Most of the fish were on bait . I think only 1 or 2 on jigs and the guys were pulling for hours. Squid was so thick that baits were chewed up in minutes.

Excellent trip & report. Way to get 'em...I didn't know the nasty lady could sing, I've only heard her scream; one thing' I wish she'd move along...

I feel your pain. What's even worse is I got an invite from the capt of that trip and it was too last minute to make it.
