Default Pocono Lake - 9/10

Took wed off and hit a public pocono lake. Fished from 7 to 4:30 with a 15 minute lunch break. Lots of weeds to deal with so it was a frustrating day where hangups were frequent on lily pads, spatterdock and water shield - my three favorite weeds. lol. Lost three lures but did manage over 70 pickerel and half dozen bass. Nothing of any size but I'll take quantity over quality any day. Only two boats seen all day. That's the way i like it

Below is a cove I worked over for nearly 4 hours. Seemed like every little opening had fish:

Now that's a day...way to smack 'em good dude. That water looks like it's 3" deep in that cove.

Too many pick I think. Avg size is like 13" and skinny w/ big heads. One fish over 20" in the last 12 years. I don't mind all the action but you think there would be more larger fish. Bass numbers not too bad with avg size around a foot.

That cove is awesome just before the weeds come up in mid-late april. Below is the April and Sept pics of the same cove. You can see just how much gets covered in weeds. I'd say about 75-80%. Its like that until mid-november and by then theres skim ice on the water
