Default Epic tuna trip

Made my first trip to the hudson on my own boat. Got there late arrive seven thirty in the evening went right into the chunk hour in and rods screaming and landed a couple jumbo steroid fill yellows. Started filling the boxes. Bite slowed for a couple hours and then went to straight mayhem couldn't get a bait down without getting hit within seconds. Topped off the boxes with yellowfin from 60-80 pounds. Was the most chaos I've seen in years. Only two rods out and doubles at all times. Was going to try for the big eye bite at first light but decided to head home on a very bumby ride thanks weatherman but all in all great trip with a three man limit of huge yellows and wanted to say a thanks to Fred Andreas toy for all your help could have not done my first ever trip to the tuna grounds with out you.

Great report and kudos to Fred for freely sharing his knowledge. As a new boater myself I can't thank the peeps who have helped me enough!

Congrats on your first canyon run

It was the best offshore trip I have ever had. I have been out there quite a few times with only one small yellowfin to show for it up until sunday/monday. All big boys along with a ton of other life( dolphins and a whale at our boat most of the night slamming squid that were everywhere). It was def. complete Mayhem just before light with two rods going off at all times for an hour until light. glad we went home when we did as I was shot. I would like to also thank Fred, you the man! Also thank you SuckaFish for an unbelievable opportunity and I cant wait to do it again. Great fishing with good friends.
