Planned on going Thursday but plans changed and couldn't get out. Decided to go in the afternoon with the gf on Saturday. Started fishing a crowded jetty around 330 with the tide high and heading out. Got a little spot on the jetty and first cast catch a little 12-13 incher, good way to start. Two casts later get a 16 incher that I swore was a keeper until I saw all the seaweed on the line. A few more casts and nab another 13-14 incher. Im thinkin it's gonna be a good day! Then a little lull for an hour or so with a few missed bites and lots of seaweed. Then the gf puts a few more shorties on the rocks and I get two more myself. The bite slowed up again so I decide to start catching some snappers to see if I can catch a bigger fish using the snappers as bait. I catch one and then throw it on the hook and then my gf wants to start catching snappers. Well that's when a scary situation occurred. She got hung up on the rocks just above the water line. After trying for a few minutes to get it off the rocks she decides to go down and get it herself. Not a smart move! I look and see her step down and before I got the word DONT! Out of my mouth I watch her slip and fall down the rocks into the drink. I drop my rod and go running over and luckily she got her footing back quick and got outta the water. Needless to say that put an end to our day as she was soaked and scraped her hands up pretty bad. Luckily she wasn't hurt too bad, more scared than anything. Needless to say she won't be climbing down the wet rocks ever again.

Wow - that is scary. Glad to hear she's OK. Those rocks down by the water are like greased lightening. In the blink of an eye you can be on your arse or worse...
