![]() Hey Guys,
Up at Spruce Run, beating the banks for bass when WHAM! Drag peeling, rod bent, I thought i had a beast of a LM or possibly a pike. I reel in to see this beautiful creature about 5-6 LBs i'd say. Is catching catfish on a soft plastic bait odd? and is this a channel catfish or a white catfish? I tried looking at the species identifier and they look very simlar. Thanks !! |

![]() I too have caught catfish along with everything else that swims in freshwater on a senko. I imagine with catfish you pretty much need to hit them with it. I've also hooked one on a spinnerbait once.

![]() Most of the cats I've caught the past few years have been while fishing for bass with a Senko, particularly the Swimsenko

![]() Channel cat and no its not odd to hit a senko. I have caught them on rooster tails. They will eat any thing. but..... If you want a big one live live a small blue gill on a fish finder rig in a drop off where a feeder stream connects into a bigger body of water and hold on
