Paramount marathon
What's this ground hog day I wake up forget my breakfast sandwich at home again. I get to the boat & try again for stripers my first cast I land another 22" fish. Then it's off to the offshore fishing sound just like last week again. We started to pick away at some very nice ling I also got a nice flounder on that drop. The next drop we stop on another sticky piece again with different results. I hit the bottom a nice slam again this time this fish is not acting like a blackfish to my surprise it turned out to be a nice 7lb. Pool winning Cod. Could it be 2 weeks in a row I haven't done that in quite some time. We started to pick away at some more baseball bat ling to my surprise what do I get. Something that I have not caught in about 30 years a Whiting. Next drop similar results picking away at the ling I get slammed by another Flounder got my limit for the day. Next drop the Mahi's show up one passenger on board landed a good 30lb. Plus fish. There were a few others caught but I wasn't so lucky I'm not sure how many. I tried drifting out a ling to a few a sharks but to no avail. I wound out finishing the day with the ling. My tally for the day was 27 Ling 2 flounder 1 whiting & the pool winning Cod. Everybody on board today did just as good as me I'm not sure what high hook was. The day ended just like last week with the mates still cleaning fish when I left. For all I know they probably are still there doing it.
