Hit the surf last night as a couple buddies told me the bite was warming up in the promise land! Hump all the crap over and down and set up shop. Armed withthe 8 and bai. Conventional and a few spinning rods chunked a 3rd of bunker sat around twiddling our thumbs until it started to get dark and slam i hook up first thought was ....k yea!!! After about 5 mins i feal it burry me in the sand and pop there she goesdefinitely a ray of sorts! Time goes on my brother hooks up he breaks off who knows what it was. Hes a schmuck and locked down on i! He hooks up twice more and he breaks off deep into the line! 5 rods between us and only 2 now have line the nights winding down and i must have a stop sign saying dogfish eat here on it just when i think hope is lost i hook up amd get dam near spooled and pop there she goes again! Very frustrating night seen a butterfly ray about a hundred plus lbs caught a few guys down !
