Default Costa Rica Fishing?

Will be in Guancaste, Costa Rica, which is the north pacific for a reunion in middle of August. I noticed that there are quite a few people on this site who have fished in Costa Rica before, while I was researching. The people I will be going with don't do much fishing and haven't really been on a boat.. Can anyone recommend a good operation to charter for beginners? Other option - if I go by myself or can convince the lady, are there any decent options for 1 or 2 people?

Thx for any help you can provide while I try to do a little homework myself.

Bt- I've probably done a dozen trips to Costa Rica but never to Guanacast. As a whole, the country is very tourist friendly, the fishing operations very well equipped and generally pretty reasonable. Don't bother lugging fishing tackle yourself, the charters have everything. August starts the rainy season, I think Guanacast is drier than the rest of the country, but don't be surprised by rain. I went mid-August one year, it rained everyday for a while, but it is warm and we still had a blast. Be sure to post when you get back, looking forward to your report.

In Playa Del Coco which is north of Tamarindo. Contact Carlos Barrerra - He owns Cocos fishing supply. Local tackle shop, Yami dealer and Capt. He's great, reasonable, nice boats and equipment. You can see his page on Facebook and communicate that way. Fished with him many times.
