Roman'Round Fluke Report
Tournament fluke fishing is underway and we've been pounding the grounds looking to score a flukeasaurus. We scored an 8th place finish with a 7.8 lb fluke at the Sandy Hook bay anglers fluke tournament. We fell short at the Raritan Bay anglers tournament where we weighed in three fish from 6.88 lbs to 5.80 lbs. We had a cooler full of solid fluke. Fluke have been sketchy at best but seem to be liking the warmer water and are on the chew. You will have sore arms at the end of the day jigging 6 to 8 ounce tails in water to 70 feet deep. But most fish caught are keepers and an influx of fish have entered the bay. We are not chartered this weekend and have both Saturday and Sunday open.
