June 20th and 22nd Bass reports - Johnny Bucktails
Friday- On friday we had our good friend art jump on with the lip and I. Fished for fluke in the early afternoon and only managed a handful of keepers. Switched over to bass a few hours later and had immediate action which didn't last long. Only landed 2 fish but they were very nice size. One fish at 40 pounds and the other at 35 pounds. Had a fun day on the water with a great crew.
Sunday- Today i Fished with just the lip today and did the same as friday. Had slow fluking and decided to switch over to bass. Made bait in one throw and we were off. On the first drift i landed a 40 pounder and i knew it was only going to get better. The bite turned on heavy and could barley keep a rod in the water. Was doubled up with the lip for a solid 2 hours. Caught our limit of quality bass and released seven 40+ pound fish. Also released numerous 30 pounders. This fishing is incredible. School is out and i'm in fishing mode. Never thought i would be releasing 40 pounders like they were chickens. tight lines- Johnny Bucktails
