I am a fan of Steiners, but if you fall a lot that could add up.

I have the Bushnell ELITE 10X42 and I love them. I use them hunting and on the boat. They don't fog up and are VERY durable! I dropped them from my tree stand and hit branches on the way down with no damage at all. I highly recommend them.

Go with Vortex! Lifetime no questions asked warranty. If you fall again you'll get a new pair!

Smile Re: binoculars

My son gave me Nikons for Christmas a few years ago. They are very good for my purposes. I would look for something lighter if I was a hunter however.

Go to a good sporting goods store and try out a couple by looking for color and clarity in the darkest and furthest reaches of the store. I did that with all the top names by trying to read shoe boxes on a mezzanine and wound up buying a pair of Swift binoculars. They were the best plus half the price.
