Default Dorothy B Monday 6-16 report

Quality not quantity was the theme of the day. Slow fishing but the keepers we did get were nice. The AM pool was around 5 lbs and I believe Jake said the PM pool was 7. The weather has been spectacular, not too hot, not too humid. Hopefully the catching improves like this weather! See you down there.

Slow fishing, yes, but a wonderful afternoon for me and my Dad - - our annual fishing trip together. He’s been living in Texas since relocating from NJ 10 years ago. Each year it’s more challenging to get on/off a boat but with the help of the crew and other fisherman, we managed to get aboard safely and had a great time trying to catch a few flatties. Between the two of us, we caught 6 fish with one keeper about 6 lbs. just missing the pool.

Fun fact: Dad always tells me stories like when his dad took him out on the Dorothy B out of Sheepshead bay when he was 11. That would have been around 1937! Is that cool or what!

Any day you can get out on the water to fish with your Dad or a fishing buddy is a good day. He’s both.
