![]() That is just ridiculous how many fluke he boats in that short amount of time.... That guy knows the spots and has it down! The bottom must've been paved with flatties and in all his videos you rarely see anyone else fishing where he is. Super nice guy too.

![]() Here's the sour grapes side, for what its worth... The eastern LI Sound , the "North Fork" is paved with fluke.. The fish don't get anywhere near the pressure they get in North Jersey either.. Mr skinner's videos usually show a lack of other boats in the area, and thats the norm out there.. On the North fork of LI, you see 4 or 5 people on the beaches, thats a lot.. Yes you get tourists out there, but remember there is a TON of water in the Eastern Sound and the Peconic system. and the "big" towns out there are Mattituck and Cutchogue, both with about 4,000 residents. Its 80 miles from Manhattan/North Jersey. The New York Bight butting Manhattan/NJ... Its all about pressure.. I assure you, there was a time where we all could nail a fluke a minute when they were in thick... Mr Skinner IS a very good fisherman, no doub,t but so are you guys.. He fishes some very good water however, with a LOT of fish, and with a a lot less people in competition for them.. Porgy fishing is also at a level we in NJ can't comprehend and it starts in May out there and is accessible to even small boaters.. they are very popular and take lots of pressure off the fluke..
You have a few party boats, but they are much scarcer than North jersey . We have intense pressure up here.. It does not exist in far eastern LI... bob |
