Default Back from Caesar's North Camps Canada!!

Amazing fly in trip. Just got back home today and already planning to go again next yr if everything goes good during the year. First day and Last day weather was amazing, all sun no wind and 80 degrees but Tuesday to Saturday weather was bad rain all day cold and very windy. We caught a lot of fish all walleye and pike so i can take pike and walleye off my catch list. Pike were getting annoying after some time because every cast and you had one. Biggest pike caught on the trip was my cousin's 42 in pike! My biggest was a 31 in. My biggest walleye of the trip was a nice 20in. But next time I go less tackle is a must all pike and walleye were caught on a bottom bouncer and and worm rig, and some of the other pike were caught on V-shaped spinners. Id say about 1000 fish were caught between 4 of us. Caesar's was a great place Oliver and John both were also great and helpful. Also at night the loons and the elk were great to hear and the sounds just echo for miles!! Here are some of the photos, too many to post all!

Thumbs up Re: Back from Caesar's North Camps Canada!!

Congrats on a successful trip man. Looks like you guys had an excellent time. Did you have a nice Walleye shore lunch? Great looking fish. Congrats on your first Walleye and Pike. How were the flies, bugs up there. I remember fishing up that way and seeing swarms of mayflies coming at us in a tornado formation. Great catch! TIGHT LINEZ!!!!

We stayed on lake simard and didn't think it was that big till your on the lakes lol and eddie the bugs were only really bad before you get to the cabin but when we flew to the cabin no bugs at all only a few Mosquitos, we would sit outside all night and no problems with the bugs just the last day a bunch of dragon flies started coming out.

I worked for Oliver's mom and dad in 1978 as a bear and fishing guide. First class people. Oliver was 10 years old at the time. Absolutely gorgeous remote area. I see and speak to Oliver every year at the sportsman shows he works. Please say hello for me. Bruce (Cuz) Vitale
