Default Slow pick on the big drink w/ GetANet 6-6-14/6-7-14

Met up with GetANet yesterday evening and hit the road around 730-745 PM for some walleye and hybrid action up north. Took our time getting up as the bite has been post 10 PM. Launched the boat and had some minor engine issues which El Capitan resolved fairly quickly and off we went.

The life on the lake was insane. Bait getting crushed all over the place. Blow ups in front of us, the sides of us, behind us, next to the boat. Truly a sight to experience. We had a sllllloooowww pick through out the night. I finished with 2 hybrids to about 5 lbs and 4 walleyes up to 23". Dale had some epic blow ups on the lure he was throwing but the fish came unglued. These were sh*t stain-inducing blowups like 5 ft or less from the boat. Seemingly solid fish that would crush the lure on the surface then bolt to weeds below and shake free. We were off the lake around 330 AM.

Good to see some NJF'ers out there again. Keep giving them hell fellas! Here's some shots... Last one is fuzzy... like our brains last night and all day today lol...

Always nice seeing fellow Walleye blood-drinking Zombies lumbering around Lee's in the dark. Add a fog machine and we will be scaring little kids in no time.

Yea, the so called minor engine issue was only the beginning of a slow torturously painful night for me! Second pull of the cord and the cord start assembly lets loose! WTF!!!NOT JUST THE CORD. THE WHOLE STARTER/DRIVE MECHANISM!!! Now with a vessel in my head ready to burst and the rage levels off the chart I make the decision to fix it rather than pack it in before the night even started like most guys would have had to do.
I knew there was a reason I always carry tools in my truck! Well after about ten we're up and running but that was the only thing to go my way.
Fish every where but nothing, nothing, nothing as my anger and sarcasm steady grew Jeremy picked and picked and put together a decent catch for himself.
He even offered me one of his "MAGIC LURES" to try and change my luck.
Well eventually after about what felt like 374,962 casts I hook up with a nice fish which pulled in the weeds and then proceeded to loose the other two I had on as well.
I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER AT ALL!
But anyone who fishes this nighttime warfare knows that's just the way it is sometimes!
It's 5:30am sunday morning as I post this reply and Yes I did fish all night again!
Way to tired to do it now but will post my report for sat night later so stay tuned

OVER AND OUT!!!

Great report with some great FISH PORN!!! What's that secret lure I keep hearing about? LOL!!!! Zombie life is the only life this time of year. Gotta love the sound of bricks and cynder blocks crashing around the boat. Intense feeding frenzy. Ahhhhhhhhh, hopefully I'll get out there again!!!

Dale, you are a warrior. I'm sure you got your fix Saturday night. Persistance always pays off for you. Get em GRIZZLY BEAR!!!
