Default Are Blues in the Shallows at Keyport Harbor?

Fellow Anglers,

I came up from Virginia last week with the hope of catching some blues on the fly in Keyport Harbor area. No such luck....it's a long trip from Virginia and I'm seeking some information. Do you know if any blues are in this area of Raritian Bay. I want to come up Tuesday for a few days but hate to make the trip again if they aren't there....any information would be appreciated.

Thanks Dr Bee

Caught all the blues we could stand last Sunday in 6ft of water just off the beach on the border with Union Beach. Thursday afternoon was a repeat performance from the shore in the same area. We used poppers and metal.

They were out in force yesterday around the Triangle, and I saw some blues picked up on the flats just east of the sailboats in Keyport,

Last night on the SeaHawk, there were lots of BIG blues. We were about southeast of Mt. Loretta (the church on Staten Island).
