Default kayak rod holders

who has rod holders mounted on their kayak so they can see the rod while trolling? i've got a couple that are behind the seat but i don't like those because you have to keep looking over your shoulder to see if you've hooked up unless you hear the fish pulling drag.

i have scotty mounts on my boat that i like, so i stuck with them and i bought some flush mounts and this for the kayak

but can't really decide best spot to stick it

anybody got pics of how you set up your front mounted kayak rod holders? without getting in the way of paddling

thanks

I installed gt90 tracks on my revo. Scotty makes a part that slides on the track so I can slide it forward or back. Can use any accessory you want on the tracks also. I keep it pretty close since I pedal

I have the yak attack gt175 tracks with ram tube 2000 adjustable rod holders and rod leashes on my kayak. The sliding ball mount and adjustability of the rod holder give you the ability to keep the rods out of the way but still in reach. It's also so easy to get out of the holder when you get a fish on. I put them in front of me at knee length. The tracks, ram ball mount, and holder are top notch and we'll worth the money.
