Here come the "CLOSED AREA'S" folks.

Just what we need, another board of Gov approved jobs running Ocean Management ......Where's the 7 million gonna come from? I'd trust Menendez as far as I could throw him.

You are right on the money Ron, just like the MPA's out on the west coast, where some prime fishing grounds are off limits to fishermen, it is coming to NJ, just a matter of time.

PS: There are "NO Conservation" measures that are going to help the Recreational Fishermen, it's all BS!!! Conservation means Saving and Protecting, read between the lines.

This board is going to have to come up with something to justify their jobs, so bend over boys and get ready!!!

7.2 million? I guess they finally put that registry head count to use. I see a license fee coming.

WHYYYY!...Haven't we done this already with artificial reefs? We build habitat that we cannot utilize because of strict regulations, for fish populations that are rebuilt!

We must have an Artificial Reef Program to be able to do it. Until the NJDEP or the NJ Legislature gets the Sport Fish Restoration Program funding restored, there will be no more reefings.

So what I read in the bill is this. They recognize the fact that there millions of Hunters and Anglers in the united States and they want to know how they can profit from that directly. This bill gives them the ability to identify prime fishing and hunting lands that are now either federally, privately or Indian owned and take it. Of course they will have to pay for it, but they wrote the bill in a way that they decide what it is worth, the Federal Government pays 50% and the other 50% is raised from Non-Profit organizations making contributions to the project.

So they grab up prime locations and close them to the general public. Then they lease the right to fish and hunt on the lands to Non Profit organizations like Sportsman Clubs who helped them purchase it.

Anyone who is a member of the club has the right to hunt or fish on the land the club leases. Everyone else better just keep off their private property. Welcome to the new America. If you want to hunt in the kings forest or fish in the kings rivers you had better be prepared to pay a kings ransom.

On the bright side if you can afford to belong to one of these exclusive clubs you will have plenty of room on opening day at your clubs streams and you will have the Shrewsbury Rocks all to your self.

The committee members all get a pat on the back for preserving the resource, helping to increase fish stocks and lining their pockets with kickbacks from the organizations that lease their newly acquired land. God Bless America!
