Default Singer Island fla

Buddy invited me down for couple of weeks I'm sick of this "Groundhog Day" stuff and have to get away. Just wondering if anyone familiar with area. Looking for piers and other shore locations to fish. Buddy don't fish so he don't know.
Any response greatly appreciated.

For land based fishing you will need a Fla saltwater fishing license, no shortage of locations, beach and bay. Several marinas there if you want to use a charter boat, head boat "Blue Heron" back over the bridge in Riviera Beach, no license needed if you use a commercial boat.

Dig some sand crabs or use live or frozen shrimp and toss anywhere in the surf with a few ounces to hold bottom and have at it. Never found such a mixed bag as down there on only a few baits- lots of whiting, catfish, some drum on occasion and our flounder down there are way more aggressive- had them follow one shrimp lure all the way to me- it's awesome- if you find a pier you can have fun all day with sheepshead and an occasional spade fish - all good eating ! One cool thing I found was if you catch a catfish you can bury the head in the sand and in a few months dig it up and the backside of the skull oddly looks like Jesus on the cross- my grandfather showed me that trick... It takes time but I bet your buddy would even be interested in that! Good luck and enjoy the warmth!!

Ohh ya- there's an inlet there- cast to the middle with a shrimp tipped jig head and have at it!! You can also throw metal or surge tubes for less tasty but well fighting critters.. The smaller headboard are fun too- try both day and night trips.. Make sure to report back, tight lines.

Hey thanx guys for info. Can't wait to get the hell out of here.
As far as buddy getting interested in fishing no way! He's strictly a golf nut which means he's an alkie that dresses funny. Give you guys report when I get bck. Thanks ALL.

Blue Heron is a good boat. Also a short ride south check Lake Worth fishing pier, you wouldnt believe what they catch there. From hammerheads to snook and if you just want to catch something the blue runners are a sure thing.

I've fished the Blue Heron fleet many times and would recommend them.
