Default my fish log (fresh water) from 1974-2009

broke my back 5 years ago and lose balance easy these days so don't get out much but I found my old log book from when I was 15 , finally did a tally and it'll make you youngsters sick..during that time I got 15,234 trout,8044 smallmouth,3759 pike,1043 walleye,5679 lmbass' didn't count crappie or perch...wish I kept a good log of salt but I was usually too bushed...spent days and years finding holes and paying attention to weather..things change all the time so if you can log it and find a pattern on familiar waters you will be rewarded, if you spend your time on the water observing you can make trips productive,,keep a log, date weather, water temp and so forth..you will catch a lot...

Sounds like you know what you're doing. Just like anything else, the more time you put in the more you learn. I would love to hear some stories of the monsters you've landed over the years.

Log books are great, my freshwater log book started around 1994. It helps me not make the same mistake twice.

As far as a couch in the river in Paterson you can contact the Passaic River Watershed Group or any one of the thousands of environmental groups here in New Jersey looking at climate change and global warming.

I caught 48,794 fish in NJ fresh water since 1991. Biggest was 42.5 lb. Best year was 2010 with 4,060 fish. Worst year was 1996 with 533 fish. Last year I caught 3,080 fish in 240 trips.
