Default Charter experience

Has anyone chartered any of the forum sponsors out of the Highlands/Sandy Hook area.

I'm looking to hear from customers, with good or bad experiences on a spring striped bass charter. I know there are other boats out there, but I'd like to support a sponsor who supports these forums.

You can message me instead of posting here. It would be greatly appreciated. I plan to book this week, and while I have it narrowed down through websites and emailing captains, a personal reference would be priceless. I also want to be sure there isn't someone I missed.

Thanks for any help in advance.

I have had some great experience with Chad on Tagged Fish. Two trips last year had our group limited out on stripers with plenty of time to pursue other quarry. The first trip was in the spring with a great clam bite. The second, in the fall with a great jig bite.

From what I know they are all good. SO it simply gets down to price and available dates.

I fished with Capt Joe and Jeff on Papa's Angels out of Keyport several times and with Capt Sal on Cathy Sea Charters out of Seawaren. You cannot go wrong with either of these guys in my book. They been doing it a long time and know their stuff.

Each offers a little different experience but both catch fish and work to give you the best experience they can. Nice people as well...which is always important...at least to me it is. Give them a call and you'll figure out which one fits you best.

Good luck with who ever you choose and let us know how you do.

Agree. Suggest to call a few to check availability and price. And what boat you like...
