Sailing 1AM Every Saturday in January and February

Offshore fishing for Jumbo porgies has been very good.
During January and February the big Jamaica will sail offshore at 1AM every Saturday for Jumbo porgies, cod, pollock and ling.

We will be fishing the offshore wrecks. As the water temperature drops we should see more cod and pollock move in. When everyone catches enough porgies we will move to the mid-range wrecks for Cod, Pollock, and ling.

Offshore wreck fishing was very good again this weekend. We made two trips this weekend and both produced limits of Jumbo Porgies and many limits of Giant Sea Bass. There were also a few cod and Pollock mixed in and some bluefish. Sunday the porgies were extremely abundant.

Sunday’s pool winners were:
Peter Seabrooke from Kings Park NY with a 20LB Pollock,
Earle Potts from Bordentown NJ with an 8LB Sea Bass.

It looks like more porgies are moving in which bodes well for our January trips for Jumbo Porgies – Cod and Pollock. We are scheduled to sail offshore every Saturday in January at 1AM. We will fish offshore wrecks for Jumbo Porgies, cod and Pollock.

During January & February Jumbo Porgies are open. Based on what we see, and are catching right now, fishing will be good. More cod, Pollock , and ling should move in too.
