Had to pull the boat so decided to try to get out one more time for tog. Small craft and high winds be damned, boat covered in ice and snow my buddy and I loaded on the layers and headed for the deep. Got a little too rough near Scotland so went south towards the reef. Set up on one spot and had fish in the first 2 minutes. Almost limited in the 1st hour but had some anchor issues and a little party boat mugging but after some fine tuning we had our limit plus. All in about 3 hrs largest was 7lbs. On the way in the ride around the hook was freaking insane, took so much water over the bow and may have broken a few bones. BIG rollers stacked on top of each other. Cant wait till next year to do it all again. Time to start hitting the party boats I guess.
