Default Monday Jamaica II Marathon

It was one of those mornings. Go to get a plastic container of cod chowder out of the fridge and the container hits the fridge door. The container splits in half and chowder all over the floor. After that clean-up, I go to my car and find the back door open with a young fellow rummaging through my fishing rods. I fool him with the finger in the back and see he is my next door neighbor's 12 yo grandson. Not a fun 3:15 am conversation with neighbor soon ensued.

Get to the boat and see some family faces. We get out to the East and start picking away at porgies and sea bass. Not as good as last week but not bad at all. Some blues mixed in along with some jumbo blues that chopped three of my largest porgies in half. Another move is a little better on sea bass and some larger porgies but once the dogs move in, the bite slowed. Small baits and lose the neon gulp people.

I wound up with 5 keeper sea bass and 32 porgies. Wes Shourt had 6 sea bass and 25 porgies. Wayne Bryant had some nice sea bass and porgies as did Middletown Mike who almost won the pool with a 4 1/2lb sea bass. Bob won the pool with a 5lb sea bass. Most people seemed to have 12 -20 keeper fish.

Don't even know how I would deal with that one without killing the kid ! Kudos to you.

I hurt that kid and I stand a chance of going to jail. I know the family. I am sure they will deal with it appropriately.
