Thanks for the surf report. I've found the lack of fish for many weeks and kinda packed most of my gear for the season. Kept my 1-surf rod handy in case things turn around. See 'ya later, Robbie

In my opinion they are spread out in little clusters and getting them to biteis another obstacle besides finding them there is so much bait! Its great that the bait draws the fish in but at the same time its like casting a car onto a highway in the middle of rush hr there thousands around what makes yours special and stick out but yet not look to outa place? Don't put the gear away yet! There's still fish way in the back of the raritan and i know there's fish up the rivers yet. As it gets colder they will have to come out and turn the hookif they want warmer water i usualy fish up until mid january for bass. depending on weather of course nj has bass that stay right through the yr me and my brother have fished in the dead of winter b.c there was nothing else to do. One example is hada be late january we ice fished in the am and went and bought a frozen block of clams b.c that's all we could get fished the hook and were walking back and fourth to the car every ten mins to defrost another peice off the block couldn't do more than a handful of peices b.c they'd just freeze again bass are always around. But anyone wants to meet up let me know taking tonight off and Wednesdays i try to fish with capt dan breaks my week up a lil bit
