Default Tagged Striper

I caught a striper with a tag in it yesterday. It says to mail to GCS NY & win 5.00 to 1,000.
I'll hope for the 1,000. It doesn't ask for any other info like weight, length, location.
Has anyone here ever caught a tagged fish or have any info about it?

I got a pink tag last year. Called the # on tag, they needed length, girth, weight, and aprox location caught.
I got a hat, a pin, a certificate, and info on the size and time of fish when tagged.
Kinda interesting to see the growth rate and distance it travelled from.

I caught a striper with a Hudson River Foundation tag in its belly and got a $10 reward for reporting it. If you mail the tag you can win $1,000, $500, $250 or $100 if your tag is drawn in a lottery at the end of the year. I met a guy who won $250. The website is at http://www.hudsonriver.org/

I got one about twelve years ago from them up in the Hackensack river, I was sent a hat, stickers, and a pin I believe. It was an old school mesh hat that I wore for years until the wind got it one day.lol I also got a paper to hang in my office.cool stuff but no money for me

The yellow belly tag is a Hudson River Foundation fish. Caught one myself a few weeks ago, and am still waiting for their reply. One of the previous posters listed the website. Check it out, and you will find that GCS is part of the address, and stands for Grand Central Station. The pink belly tag is a U.S. Fish and Wildlife fish. They offered me a cap or a pin a few years ago. They sent a cap and a certificate.
