Fished Sat 10/19 - Sea Bright - 6 AM to 11 AM - nothing until Tide was moving out around 9:30 - caught two 22 inch fat striped footballs in about 10 minutes. A min later guy to the left of me gets one.

That little flurry was it .... did not see another fish other than an ocassional skate up and down the beach the rest of the 5 hours I fished.

All on clams.

Thumbs down Re: sandy hook surf?

fished first beach @ the hook from 7am to 2pm. NOTHING !!!! most of the beach is in the ocean ( new sand bars along the hook to Sea Bright) making it tough to reach deep water 'till low tide when you can walk out an cast a mile to reach the fish. Gonna try Monmouth beach on Thursday. See 'ya later, Robbie
