Golden Eagle - Friday - Outstanding Monster Blues & Stripers
OUTSTANDING insane fishing today for the MONSTER Blues & STRIPERS. Folks, picture 10 to 15 - 18 to 23lb MONSTER Blues at a time along with some STRIPERS, well that's what today and the past few days have been all about.
I tried to get away from the MONSTER Blues later in the afternoon to try to catch some STRIPERS and that worked for a few drifts where we were able to pick at the bass but then the MONSTER Blues and STRIPERS got together again and it was insane fishing again. Our largest STRIPER was 33lbs and the largest MONSTER BLUE was over 23lbs. All the fish were caught on jigs (Ava 47's and Croc's). Look forward to doing it again tomorrow. Pursuant to Rich's post we had a very good day. Red hot shot to start the day and by 10:45 I was more or less limited on Blues. Picked and poked through the mid part of the day.
Got some Striper luv towards the end of the trip. Stayed late and made two extra stops after three whistles looking for more Bass. I guess I am geeting old...little bit sore tonight. Catch em up over the weekend. Tight lines. Kevin
