Default 10/11 River by day, Canal by night.

Visited the RR in the morning around 10 AM. Water was up to the wall and clear. Wind was blowing to the Bridgewater side of the river creating an awesome super cast! Conditions seemed prime! Well I threw everything I had at them, Soft bait, tubes, jerk baits, etc... NOTHING! So I figured what the hell and threw on the #4 Black Fury in Chartruese. Third cast and something slams it. I manage to get it about 20' from the wall to see a flash of gold as it mad an about face and charged away. Drag started going and BINK! its gone! Drag was too tight!!! So after some stomping and ranting and raving like a lunatic, off to the store for a replacement. Came back and tried again but nothing! So, If anyone pulls a fish from the river with a bright yellow #4 black fury, It's mine!

Night fell and I was driving by a canal night spot where on wed night had a tube jig hook straighten out. Saw a couple friends vehicles. Went home and grabbed my stuff and shot back. Just as I greeted the guys, Jimmy yells fish on and to grab the gaff. A respectable 6 lb Walleye. I will leave it up to him to post the pic.

Hoping to get out for a change of pace and hit the South Branch for some fall trout on the ultra light.

6lb Walleye is very respectable, especially for a body of water that doesn't receive any from f&g!
