![]() Headed out with Capt. Tom on the Atlantic Star out of Atlantic Highlands today for our first every porgy trip. I have never fished for them.
Once again, Capt. Tom found the fish. Action started right away, slowed down a bit, then picked up again towards the end of the trip. Everyone went home with a good amount of fish for dinner. My son and I had a blast fishing for porgies and caught a ton of seabass, all short, but still fun. This was only my sons second party boat trip and he is hooked. Many more Father/Son trips to come. Thanks again Capt. Tom and mates. As always, a great job! Last edited by flukeyou; 10-05-2013 at 11:22 PM.. |

![]() He looked like he was having a great time. More parents should be taking advantage of this fishing, especially on this boat. Half day so you don't wear them out, light seas since you're not out too far, friendly mates to make the day easier, and a captain who puts you on very cooperative fish. This is my wife's favorite boat.
