Interesting day on the water.

Left AH marina about 7:00 am .Tom, Cliff, Rick and I going out for some Sea Bass. About 1/4 mile outside of the marina in about 25 feet of water a WHALE surfaced in front of us. Unbelievable!! Not fast enough with the camera, surfaced twice then we didn't see it again. Continued out into some sloppy conditions. Went over by Roamer Shoals, picking up some small sea bass and porgies. Then to my surprise I catch a 4 lb. Trigger Fish! First one ever for me. Can't wait to cook it up.

Very cool to see one that far inside.... A few months ago we saw one in the same area.

Possibly the same whale I saw two weeks ago off of Sandy Hook eating the huge schools of bait also 1/4 mile out.The news had one off of the rockaways two days ago too.That is a good sign that the bait is out in the ocean and the fish should be right behind....

I've heard Cliff speak dolphin, he should have tried to call it back. Nice job on the trigger.

That pod of Dolphin seemed to be out side jumping and playing in different areas all morning. I 'm gonna use that for my excuse on the slow bite all morning.
