![]() Sundays fluking left a little to be desired, in other words...not good. Planning on making some changes.Never knew there were so many tog nuts out there, thought i was one of the few.I can't wait to bounce a crab on a rock, so from now on its combo trips Fluke if they are stll here, PORGIES,TRIGGER FISH BUT PART OF THE DAY WILL BE PUT ASIDE FOR THOSE EVER LOVIN TOG. WILL BE RUNNING OPEN BOAT ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. Give us a shout and ill save u a place on the rail. Before all the regs I used to fish for tog all year long. In the summer when the wind would come roaring out of the south, out would come the crabs and i would make a drop on one of my favorite spots and beat up the blackfish. Already ordered the crabs and they seem to be as excited as I am!

Are we talking Bucktails and if so what are you tipping them with and how do you avoid from getting hung up in the rubble?

I've tried many jigs including the Tidal Tails (rather expensive) that Chris1129 showed and have settled on buying banana jigs from Sam the Sinker Man, far cheaper than Tidal Tails and they work. You can ask Sam, he knows me as Henry. I use them painted with no bucktail and tipped with crab. You can see a picture of me holding a 7.5# tog with the jig in it's face, caught this one in the spring, picture on the Fish Tank website. Yes you get hung up, but not as often as with a heavy sinker. I can explain, but we should do a trip together and I can show you. |

Adam, No problem. You can work out the schedule with the captain, I'm usually on the boat every weekend and will be happy to go over some of the basics to point you in the right direction, you know, I can't give away all my secrets. |
