Golden Eagle - Tuesday Good Bluefishing
We had good fishing today. We started out jigging the 3 to 5lb Blues and we had some very good drifts. When we lost the tide and the jigging slowed we went in search of the MONSTER Blues.
We read "mountains" of them but they would not touch the jigs. So we put the anchor in and threw some chum and we had several shots at the MONSTER Blues in the 12 to 17lb range. Conditions were tough on the anchor but we were able to get 2 to 4 of these fish on at a time. Our pool winner was Bill Dickson with a 17lb blue. The GOLDEN EAGLE sails daily for Blues & Stripers at 7:30am and Thurs. through Sunday nights at 7:30pm from Belmar Marina in Belmar, NJ.
