Question Change in SeaBass Season?

While fishing today, and tossing back some nice Seabass, I mentioned that it was a shame that the season doesn't reopen until 9/27. I was quickly corrected by the boat captain that that was changed and the season now opens on 9/8. I have checked the latest Summery Sheet and I still see 9/27? Can anyone lead me to the correct date please.

I think the Big Guy might be wrong this time. I haven't heard or read of any changes from the 27th to the 8th.

I just called F & W, (609-748-2020) According to the woman I spoke with the recreational season reopening has not changed and is still set for 9/27.

Do you really think the government would ever give us recreational fishermen a break?
