Default Fishermen/ Thur. nite fishing

Had another nite of decent fishing for a small crowd. We started out croaker fishing and had fish coming in the first 30 seconds of fishing. The croaks were mixed in size , mostly small with a few med. and large for spice. We fished for the porgies later in the nite when the current was going to ease off and picked away at the scup before the blues and stripers started chasing the porgies around. The same story for tonites trip will be croakers first then the silvers. I took a few pics of the fishfinder last nite of the porgy readings on the drop we were fishing and this reading was 400 ft. long by I do not know how wide and we only foul hooked 2 fish before they were chased away by the blues and bass. Capt. Ron will add the pics later today. Which brings me to another topic, we will be fishing for stripers every Mon. nite from now on and will be adding another nite every week, I know we can get a catch together if the conditions work in our favor. We will be sailing tonite at 6;30 and the weather looks good, for info 908-930-2335.

Sounds like a big body of porgies cap. Will they continue to migrate this way until late fall ? Seems like the porgy fishing is at its height late September into early October I am not too familiar with their patterns.
