![]() Trolled around in the mud hole today for a few hours without a touch, very few signs of life out there, we had a flat of sardines so we went over to monster ledge to see what we could scare up, nothing doing for the first hour and a half, as we were getting ready to call it a day we get a hit on the long bait, nice mahi does a few jumps and spins, then brought boat side for a gaff shot. Had 2 more come into the slick and we were able to pitch a whole sardine to another, 2 in the box. The other one hung around for a awhile but we couldn't get him to chew. Threw everything at him. Nice ride back in calm seas.

![]() Thanks! When we first stopped and were setting up our spread, there was a school of breaking fish, they were on the small side to be tuna, but we were thinking Albies or bonito . That was probably the west edge of the mudhole. There was a handful of boats working the area, but we didn't hear anything on the radio about Albies or blues.
When I was cleaning the mahi, one had a couple baby sea horses in its belly, also some type of bug looking critters, pretty cool.. |
