Default Reel Class Monday Flukin'

6 man crew today for our FTYP trip. Ran out to where there were some fish caught yesterday and had some fun "whitewater rafting" in our inlet on the way out and had a few quick fish with some seabass mixed in.

Bounced around, only had a little life, so we took a ride to where Kenny caught them Saturday. Good life to start, banged a bunch of nice keepers right away, then lost the drift. Ran to a few other spots where we haven't fished in awhile, but only pulled a few shorts and skates, so it was back to where we had them.

Very slow pick the rest of the day, a fish here and a fish there, good thing most fish were keepers. Wound up putting a decent catch together by day's end when the drift got insanely fast and 12 oz. wasn't holding (S wind and current together).

Most of our keeper fluke were in the 20-23" range, with only a few right around 18" -- also had some real nice humpback seabass in the mix as well . Mike, Jim and Bill H both finished just shy of their limits with 4, and a couple of the other guys had 3. Bill had the best fish of the day just over 4#. Wound up with 21 in the box -- not a bad day by any means but the swell definitely had a bit of an affect on the fishery today.
