FISH STIX - PP Elks 2nd Place Finish!
Saturday 7/27 we had Sharkbite Bucktails Mike charter the boat with a good crew of Scott, Wayne, Ed, Kenney and Sean. Met at the boat EARLY for the run down to point. Well 6am start and off we went. First stop some keepers including a 5lb fluke. Couple more drifts the same. Made a move and bam Sean is on. 8:15am the weight was lifted off my shoulders with a fish over 8lbs. But I knew we needed bigger. Worked hard the rest of the day putting keepers on the boat up to 6.1lbs as well. Wouldn't let the guys use nets for keeps unless it was a contender. Ended up with 20 keepers to an official 8.2lbs. Taking second place tie with my good buddies on the Baccala. Congrats to the boys on Scrap Man.

This is my 3rd year, minus last year's weather blowout on day 1, w/ Kris on Fish Stix for this tourney. He puts in his time as many other Captains do and as we as the anglers do and did this year and it paid off. Good decisions regarding fishing locations, bait, even use of net all played into our fate and some luck of finding the fish that put us up on the board. Watching that 8.2 lber fought by one of our newer fluke anglers and landed was awesome and we knew we had at least something on the larger size
 Kris, can we book for next year now and make year 4 for us #1 at the top??? Thanks again to the team Darren and Kris. Nice job to Stelios' team on the tie for 2nd and the Scrapman team for taking the top prize.
