Had team "Blind Squirrel" (Dave,Henry,Glenn,Brian,Larry and George) Made our way out the inlet in the mix of the "Shot-gun" start...Pulled away from the pack and headed to the north, had a good pick of solid fish. As the wind and drift picked up we headed back south to pick away before weigh in... Our biggest of 12 keepers went 7.2 for a 7th place finish (out of 184 or so boats)... It was a great day lots of laughs and a few "nuts" found... A awesome bunch of fisherman. Met "Shrimp man Steve" thank you for the inlet photo and congrats on a great catch... Capt. ![]() What a great day, what a great tourney, what a great BBQ/fishermen's reunion
![]() It was a privilege to fish with such a well dressed group of Squirrels. Thanks again Henry for the shirts. And traveling to our spots at warp speed was a trip !! We even found a few acorns. Congrats GW on getting us in the money ![]() And a shout out to Tourney winner Greg Heiser and his Pennsyltucky crew (9.5 lbs). They have always supported our RFA non-catching trips and proved today that they've got game. And kudos to Fish Stix and Stelli/Wayno who finished tied for second place (8.2 lbs). Fishing in the morning was lights out as I boxed three 5+ pound fish in less than 10 minutes. Then the relentless South wind came on ruining everyone's stellar conditions. With the wind from the South, the Flukies shut their mouths. I now have a new favorite fishing shirt; everytime I wear it I will remember this day and smile. Thanks for the post Captain Ed, thumbs up to mate jimmy too ![]()
