Default Fluke fishing tomorrow - question for you

Hi all,
My buddy and I plan on going for fluke tomorrow, and I see there is NE winds at 15-20 knots. I was wondering if these conditions are horrible. Due to work eat I only get out about 5-10 trips a season and this season I have had horrible luck with weather. We plan on going out of belmar part boat.

I would greatly appreciate any insight.

Thank you,
Milhouse

yeah the forecasted seas do not look bad onpaper but with ne 15-20 it aint gonna be nice if it indeed does blow that hard, if it came on later in the day you would be fine in fact some of my best fluke days were in a light northeast 5-10

If you take a ride up to AH, the PB's may be able to fish in the lee of Sandy Hook if it's too windy . Just a thought.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the lee? Also, what boat would you suggest in the AH for fluke? I have fished the Fisherman and I believe the prowler for tog.

Thanks for the help guys

Lee is protection from the wind. Boats out of the AH can stay in the hook away from the wind. Seahorse is an excellent choice.

You can't go wrong on the Atlantic Star. Captain Tom and mates will take care of you.

Smile Re: Fluke fishing tomorrow - question for you

NOAA has the marine forcast at NNE winds about 15 knots with 3-4 foot seas. Wind guru has the same prediction. BW has breezy whitecapping conditions with moderate choppy seas. NE winds at 15 knots and seas at 3-4 feet. Pretty much as the previous preditions. I would consider this weather not perfect, but definitely fishable. I would go on a large party boat like the Ocean Explorer, a 100 footer, out of Belmar. A great Captain and crew.
