Default experimental crabbing today !!

so blue claw crabbing is pretty different but almost the same as king and opies, but watching the show gave me an idea , different from the traditional way , of bunker chunks or chicken , i have a netted laundry bag i will use to make sacks , in one trap i am gonna smash the crap out of a piece of bunker place it in a bag tie in trap ...the second trap i will put a can of tuna fish , bumble bee to be exact , ....and see what happens ....let you know the results later tonight ill try to video the results

Now that is a cool experiment. Can't wait to hear your report. Good luck.

Great idea, but I would use something cheaper than BB tuna. Hope it was packed in oil not water for the smell. Then again , it's against the law to leave a sheen on water. LOL. can't wait for the results, if there there you'll catch.

ok no video , but the whole day was an epic fail, i used tuna in a bag for one trap , i used mashed bunker in another . then regular bunker chunks in all other traps. equally, all the way around not a good day of crabbing. 2 keepers from all traps. the bag traps did get small crabs but nothing to brag about , an neither bag or chunks won. but the crabs did go to the bags....but nothing that would say wow its working. i think i would have to try in a more populated crab area.
