Default Fluking on the Grateful Dad 6/23

We got the band back together, and Hart Attack Larry, Andy "Skollman" and my son Andrew headed out looking for some flatties. Started way back in the bay, nothing doing. Moved out to the Triangle, and Andy caught fire and drew first blood, boxing 2 nice keepers, 21 and 19". I saw the light and switched over to bucktails, then I put 2 in the box, both real nice fish. Andy's keeper to short ratio started to diminish as he whacked away at some shorts, before things slowed down a little and we headed up the Reach. Andy boxed one more before Larry came to life late in the day and nailed a pair of nice fish and dropped another right at the surface. We finished up with some spotty action back in the Triangle before we headed home. Bucktails and GULP! caught them all, I didn't get a sniff dragging bait. Andrew was out of the game early, suffering from the effects of spending all night at the beer truck at a Polish church carnival. There might be some pics to follow. (Of the catch- not Andrew.)

Jeff, thanks again for another great day on the water.

Wish I could have extended my hot 15 minutes for a few more minutes when I put 3 fast keepers in the box. But I'll get 'em next time .

Kudos to Captain Jeff for putting us on the fish, but more importantly for joining the ranks of us Bucktailers.
As they say ". . . after jigging bucks, dragging bait sucks"

The overall size of Sunday's keepers was impressive, more than half our keepers were over 20" - nice. A perfect day on the water with good friends - it was memorable getting The Band back together
