Default Bigger fluke still inside

Have made a few trips outside and same results each time... few shorts, skates, doggies. Each time, we come back in, find the bigger fish inside.

Used the Trailing Teaser Rig for 10 keepers between 3 guys other day, few fish in that 4# - 7# range.

Save the fuel, find them inside.

My father was high hook for the day.

Spearing on the trailer seemed to find the most fish for me.

Tom,
Nice catch,
I use to fish similiar rig that was extremely effective when fishing open bottom. Last couple of years i have stayed away from that kind of rig when fishing the sticky stuff.

Do you fish that rig on rough bottom and if so do you find that you get hung up more with the longer trailing hook?

Thanks for the pictures. Do you find tat this rig works better than a 3-way swivel with the buck tail on the short drop with the teaser off the other part of the 3-way? I use that rig all the time with pretty good success.

Thanks - No Pockets

x2 and couldnt agree with your more on both - the ocean is not ready yet they havent moved in like the past 2 years . Yes in limited small pockets but tha is about it.

I did the Angler Ocean trip yesterday and that is exactly what we found out. We eventually moved in-shore

As far as the rig it is one of the best for bucktailing and also works with tying it off like shown above.

Funny thing I noticed when I have been out this year ( 3 times only for flukies ) bait is outfishing bucktailing - overall on the party boats - and I see some great buckatilers and I am NOT ONE OF THEM!!! I am a Googan and A Hack

Believe it or not SPEARING is the Key I think

Just my 2 cents

Catchum - UP
