Bounty Hunter - Stripers With The Katie Staats Charter, 5/30
Capt. Paul had the Katie Staats charter on board the Bounty Hunter today. Katie and her crew have fished with us in the past but no one ever Livelined for Bass before. Again bait was easy to come by and once the Livewell was full Paul headed north. The first few stops on active bunker schools was not productive but at mid morning the Bass turned on. The big Blues were mixed in with the Bass and the rods were bent over pretty good. We landed 2 Bass and several Blues then we were stampeded. Lack of knowledge, courtesy and some pretty bad boat handling put a quick end to what was building up to be a good bite. We finished the day with 2 Bass and 3 Blues in the box.
