Default Any luck oceanfront surf?

Hey guys just want to see if there is any solid action going on the surf. I braved that wind and cold last night fished the backbay...not even a bluefish on the outgoing. I drove up and down ocean avenue and couldn't decide if I wanted to go plug or not. I was a mess in my own head...must have been the winter weather last night No need to spot burn just want to see what's going on because I'm planning another two nights and early morns again and fuel and my marriage are getting expensive for this darn hobby Tight lines guys catch em up!

fished jettys in deal from 3-7 today. tough conditions but a little bit of life for the jetty jockeys out in the rain and honking wind. a few of us out there and between us 2 short stripers, a few blues and even saw skate, dogfish and sea robins come up. no big bass....but I left around 7 when tide was an hour from high tide. bass on clams, blues on bunker and small metal. even in the rough stuff there is life out there.
