Default South Branch - Califon area

Took a ride along the river near Hoffmans Crossing heading toward Califon. The water is extremely low. Every little pool had 7-8 fishermen surrounding it. They looked like a bathtub with guys holding fishing rods in it. I fished the pond area by myself and caught 7 rainbows on butterworms. Three released. Lures, power bait and worms did not work today. I saw some other fish caught by a man chumming and using corn. I heard corn is not easily passed by small trout. I refuse to use it even though it does attract and catch trout. It can't be any good protein wise for fish anyway.
