After School Report 5/3
Well, I had a nice chance to enjoy some fishing yesterday after school. I obtained my probationary license during the week, so this time I didn't have to rely on anyone to bring me anywhere.
Around 3:30, I hit the Deal Surf for the Striped ones first, after picking up some fresh clams at the bait shop. Unfortunately, the 9Ft 1980's Lamiglas via Leif was not strong enough for the 4-6ft hard, choppy N.E. surf. I gave it my best for about 2 hours, but my equipment didn't hold out too well.
So, plan B was hit S.R.I. for some fun with da demons, and that was exactly what I did. I made a quick teaser rig, made the 15 minute drive, and the fun began. Double header demons. Good fun on the slow action Lami. Landed 10 for the night up to 5 lbs and lost few others. I kept three.
At the very least, it made up for the lack of Striper fishing time in the surf, due to the limit of my rod. Fun night!
